    Directions to Skip Inn Beach Houses Katwijk

    1. Upon arrival at the Boulevard in Katwijk aan Zee, continue driving until you reach Restaurant Friends.
    2. At the restaurant, turn onto the path by car toward Boulevard Zeezijde 15 (green route). This path runs along the sidewalk.
      PLEASE NOTE: During the high season, this area is often busy with mopeds, bicycles, and pedestrians. Therefore, please drive at a walking pace.
    3. Follow this path straight ahead to the beach. Here, on the left, you will find the beach huts (green route).
    4. Report to the pavilion to check in.
    5. After loading and unloading, return via the same route (blue route) and then turn left onto the boulevard.
    6. After about 200 meters, turn left again into the parking garage (blue route). Park your car here.
    7. Exit the parking garage via the exit on Voorstraat and turn left (purple route).
    8. Then walk about 50 meters toward the beach. The Skip Inn beach huts are on the right.

    Welcome to our beach house

    We’re so glad you’re here! We hope you’ll be able to truly relax, enjoy the beach, and soak up the outdoors.

    Whether you’re here to get some fresh air, unwind, or make wonderful memories, this cottage is perfect for you.

    In this welcome booklet, you’ll find practical information about the cottage and the surrounding area.

    The beach pavilion is open every day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. You can stop by for lunch, dinner, or just to enjoy a drink. You can also arrange to have breakfast delivered to your beach cottage.

    Brief announcements / requests

    • Please place household waste in sealed trash bags in the container behind the beach pavilion. Waste does not need to be sorted.
    • Please place glass in the glass recycling bin.
    • Upon departure, please remove the bedding and place it, along with the towels, kitchen linens, and bath mat, in the laundry bag hanging in the closet in the downstairs bedroom. You may leave the protective covers on the pillow and mattress.
    • Upon departure, please return the tag (key fob) and, if applicable, the parking garage pass to the reception desk at the beach pavilion (if the reception desk or beach pavilion is closed, please deposit them in the mailbox at the entrance to the reception area).
    • If there are any special circumstances, please report them to the reception desk.
    • The beach cottage must be left swept clean and free of dishes upon departure.

    TV remote control

    1. Turning the TV on/off:
      The button at the top left of the remote control.
    2. Adjusting the volume:
      The + and – buttons next to VOL on the remote control.
    3. Next/previous channel:
      The up and down arrow buttons next to P on the remote control.
    4. Selecting a channel:
      Use the number keys.

    Heating Instructions

    • You can set the desired temperature yourself using the up and down buttons.
    • The heater will run until that temperature is reached.
    • After that, it will automatically turn on and off to maintain a constant temperature.

    PLEASE NOTE!
    When leaving the beach house, please turn down the heat and close all windows and doors.

    How the AXA Window Opener Works

    The AXA window opener with a safety button allows you to safely leave a window slightly ajar or fully open for ventilation.

    By pressing the button on the black lever, you can open or close the window, and when you release it, it automatically locks into the selected position.

    Electronic Lock with Tag

    Hold the tag against the lock. The lock will display a green light, indicating that the door can be opened. You then have a few seconds to open or close the lock. After that, the lock automatically returns to the unlocked position. When leaving the cottage, turn the knob to the right and then hold the tag in front of it. If the door is locked, it will display a red light.

    Quick Start Guide for the LG Soundbar

    • Press the Power button to turn the soundbar on or off.
    • Use the volume buttons on the soundbar or remote control to turn the volume up or down.
    • Bluetooth/connect:
      1. Turn on the soundbar and select Bluetooth mode (BT).
      2. On your phone/tablet/laptop, open the Bluetooth settings and search for the soundbar (LG Soundbar).
      3. Select the soundbar and wait for the connection to be established.
      4. You can now play music via Bluetooth.

    Information/rules regarding stays with one dog

    To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, we kindly ask that you observe the following:

    • The dog must remain exclusively on its own blanket or in its own bed. The dog is not permitted to lie on the beds, sofas, or other furniture.
    • The dog must not disturb other guests, for example by barking for extended periods.
    • The dog must not be left alone in the beach house if this could cause disturbances or noise complaints.
    • Any damage resulting from the dog’s stay may be charged to you.
    • A fee of EUR 15 per day will be charged for the dog’s stay, which must be paid upon check-in.

    Below are the specific rules that apply to the beach in Katwijk:

    Rules for Dogs on the Beach in Katwijk:

    • Summer season (April 1 – October 1):
      9:00 AM – 7:00 PM: Dogs are not allowed on the beaches outside the built-up area.
    • Exception: Dogs are allowed in case of rain or when the temperature is below 18°C.
    • Dog Beach (North): North of the drainage channel (beach section C, near the Airtime Kitesurfing Club), dogs are welcome year-round and may run free.
    • Winter season (October 1 – April 1):
      Dogs are allowed on the entire beach all day and may run free.

    Cleanup Requirement: Cleaning up after your dog is required year-round.

    Service Dogs: Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome on the entire beach year-round.

    We count on your understanding and cooperation so that both you and other guests can enjoy a relaxing stay at the beach.

    These General Terms and Conditions apply to the rental and reservation of our Skip Inn beach houses.

    Reservations

    Reservations can be made via our website www.strandhuisjesskipinn.nl. Your reservation becomes binding once the deposit has been received. The tenant will receive a confirmation by e-mail within 24 hours.

    The landlord confirms the reservation within 24 hours after receipt of the reservation and the deposit. We kindly ask you to check this confirmation for accuracy upon receipt. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us by e-mail.

    Rental prices

    Included in the rental price:

    • The rental of the beach house as stated on the website strandhuisjesskipinn.nl
    • Water, electricity and VAT
    • Service package consisting of:
      • Dishcloth
      • Dishwashing brush
      • 1x dish soap
      • 2x dishwasher tablets
      • 4x coffee capsules
      • 2x tea
      • 1x kitchen roll
      • 1x shower gel
      • 1x shampoo
      • 1x garbage bag

    Not included in the rental price:

    • Bed linen package (consisting of pillowcase, fitted sheet and duvet cover; the beds are made upon arrival)
    • Tourist tax €2.50 per person per night
    • Final cleaning €90 (The beach house must be left broom-clean and without dirty dishes. Otherwise, additional cleaning costs will be charged)

    Optional extras:

    • High chair €10
    • Baby cot €10
    • Towels (large and small) €7.50 per person
    • Kitchen linen €7.50 per beach house (tea towel + towel)
    • Parking permit for the parking garage: €35 per week or €50 per month
    • Under certain conditions, you may bring 1 pet for €15 per day. Please ask about the conditions

    We do not charge administration fees.

    Payments

    After making a reservation, the tenant is required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount via iDEAL or credit card. Once the payment has been received, the reservation becomes binding. If no deposit is paid, the reservation will lapse.

    The remaining balance must be paid no later than six weeks before arrival. You will receive a reminder by e-mail with a payment request.

    For reservations made within eight weeks prior to arrival, the total amount must be paid immediately via iDEAL or credit card.

    You will receive the access chip for your beach house at the Skip Inn beach pavilion upon presentation of your booking confirmation and a valid ID. In case of loss of the access chip, we will charge €25.

    Changes and cancellations

    • Cancellation up to 8 weeks (56 days) before arrival: 25% of the total rental amount
    • Cancellation up to 6 weeks (42 days) before arrival: 50% of the total rental amount
    • Cancellation up to 4 weeks (28 days) before arrival: 75% of the total rental amount
    • Cancellation within 2 weeks (14 days) before arrival: 100% of the total rental amount

    Rebooking is possible up to 8 weeks (56 days) before the start of the rental period, subject to availability. The administration costs for a rebooking are €50.

    Cancellations must always be made in writing or by e-mail, stating the name, rental period and reservation number.

    House rules

    Check-in from 3:00 PM.
    If you expect to arrive after 8:00 PM, please inform us by phone or e-mail.

    Check-out by 10:00 AM.
    If you wish to depart earlier (before 8:00 AM), please inform us no later than the evening before, before 8:00 PM.

    The beach houses are suitable for a maximum of 4 persons. A possible 5th person is allowed for an additional fee of €60. This 5th person will sleep on an air mattress including bed linen. Exceeding this number of 4 or 5 persons is not permitted. Youth groups are not allowed.

    In case of violations of these rules, the landlord is entitled to terminate the rental agreement immediately.

    The following is not permitted:

    • Smoking in the beach house or burning incense
    • Using your own equipment such as barbecues, gas burners, deep fryers, ovens, baking plates, infrared lamps, electric heaters or other electrical devices
    • Storing objects outside the beach house

    By order of the fire brigade and the municipality of Katwijk, barbecuing or lighting open fires on or near the beach is strictly prohibited.

    Please be considerate of other guests and residents after 10:30 PM and avoid noise disturbances.

    In the event of nuisance or damage to the beach house, the tenant may be required to leave the premises immediately.

    The tenant is also required to comply with all additional house rules listed in the welcome book of the beach houses.

    Liability

    We expect you to treat nature, the surroundings and the beach houses with respect. The main tenant (at least 21 years old), as stated in the confirmation, is responsible for order and cleanliness in and around the beach house.

    Any damage, loss or missing inventory must be settled immediately by the main tenant.

    Skip Inn is not liable for:

    • Loss, theft, damage or accidents involving persons and/or property during or as a result of the stay in the beach house
    • Disruptions or defects in technical installations in the beach house

    You indemnify Strandhuisjes Skip Inn B.V. against all claims by third parties for damages arising from acts or omissions by yourself, other users, your fellow travelers or third parties who are present on the beach section with your consent.

    Skip Inn expressly reserves the right, if necessary, to carry out maintenance work on the accommodation or facilities during your stay, without entitlement to compensation. This will be done solely to ensure the quality of your stay.

    Complaints

    Skip Inn strives to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Despite our care, it may happen that you have a complaint.

    Complaints must be reported immediately on site, so that Skip Inn has the opportunity to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

    Dutch law applies to the rental agreement.

    Good to know

    • From late May to early September, Katwijk beach is lined with its characteristic beach houses. This is where Katwijk families gather for a lovely day at the beach. The beach houses are situated approximately 25 metres in front of the beach houses
    • If you wish, you can arrange a breakfast service at the neighbouring beach pavilion for a fee. Breakfast will then be delivered to the beach house in a basket.
    • Please bear in mind that many shops in Katwijk are closed on Sundays.
