Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the rental and reservation of our Beach Houses Skip Inn.

Reservations

You can make a reservation via our website www.strandhuisjesskipinn.nl. Your reservation becomes final upon receipt of the deposit. The tenant will receive a confirmation by email within 24 hours.

The lessor confirms the reservation within 24 hours after receiving the reservation and deposit. You are requested to check this confirmation for accuracy upon receipt. If you have not received confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us by email.

Rental Costs

Included in the rental price:

  • Rental of the beach house as stated on the website strandhuisjesskipinn.nl
  • Water, electricity, and VAT
  • Kitchen package (including dish brush, kitchen towel, tea towel, cleaning cloth, and 2 dishwasher tablets)

Not included in the rental price:

  • Bedding package (including pillowcase, fitted sheet, and duvet cover; beds will be made for you)
  • Tourist tax €2.50 per person per night
  • Final cleaning €90 (You must leave the beach house swept clean and with no dirty dishes. Failure to do so will result in additional cleaning charges)

Optional extras:

  • High chair €10
  • Cot €10
  • Towel package €7.50 per person
  • Parking permit for the parking garage: €35 per week or €50 per month

Payments

After making a reservation, the tenant must pay a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount via iDEAL or credit card. Once payment is received, the reservation is final. If the deposit is not received, the reservation will expire.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than six weeks before arrival. You will receive a reminder email with a payment request.

For reservations made within eight weeks before arrival, the full amount must be paid immediately by iDEAL or credit card.

You can collect the access tag for your beach house at Strandpaviljoen Skip Inn by presenting your booking confirmation and valid ID.

Changes and Cancellations

  • Cancellation up to 8 weeks (56 days) before arrival: 25% of total rental amount
  • Cancellation up to 6 weeks (42 days) before arrival: 50% of total rental amount
  • Cancellation up to 4 weeks (28 days) before arrival: 75% of total rental amount
  • Cancellation within 2 weeks (14 days) before arrival: 100% of total rental amount

A rebooking is possible up to 8 weeks (56 days) before the start of the rental period, subject to availability. Administration costs for rebooking are €50.

Cancellations must always be submitted in writing or by email, stating the reservation name, rental period, and reservation number.

House Rules

Check-in from 3:00 PM.
If you expect to arrive after 8:00 PM, please inform us by phone or email.

Check-out until 10:00 AM.
If you wish to depart before 8:00 AM, please notify us by 8:00 PM the evening before.

The beach houses accommodate up to 4 persons. Exceeding this number is not permitted. Youth groups are not allowed.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your stay.

It is not permitted to:

  • Smoke or burn incense inside the beach house
  • Bring or use your own equipment such as barbecues, gas burners, deep fryers, ovens, griddles, infrared lamps, electric heaters, or other electrical devices
  • Bring pets
  • Store goods outside the house

By order of the fire department and the municipality of Katwijk, it is strictly forbidden to barbecue or make open fires near the beach houses or on the beach.

Please keep noise levels down after 10:30 PM to avoid disturbing other guests or nearby residents.

If you cause nuisance or damage to the beach house, you may be required to leave the premises immediately.

Tenants must also comply with all other house rules stated in the welcome booklet of the beach houses.

Liability

We expect you to treat nature, the surroundings, and the beach houses with respect. The main tenant (minimum age 21), as stated in the confirmation, is responsible for maintaining order in and around the beach house.

Any form of damage, loss, or missing inventory must be settled immediately by the main tenant.

Skip Inn accepts no liability for:

  • Loss, theft, damage, or accidents involving persons and/or property during or as a result of a stay at the beach house
  • Malfunction or failure of technical equipment in the beach house

Skip Inn expressly reserves the right, if necessary, to carry out maintenance work on the accommodation or other facilities during your stay, without compensation. This will only be done to improve the quality of your stay and experience.

Complaints

Skip Inn strives to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Despite our care, it is possible that you may have a complaint.

Complaints must be reported immediately on site so that Skip Inn has the opportunity to resolve the issue to everyone’s satisfaction.

Other

Dutch law applies to the rental agreement.
